Once you have installed zen cart, there are some essential steps you will need to take before your site can go live. This series of step by step tutorials will take you through these steps.
System Setup /Settings – Setup Taxes
1. Log into your zen cart admin and go to Locations/Taxes -> Zones Definitions.
2. Insert applicable tax zones for the regions in which you collect taxes.
3. In your zen cart admin go to Locations/Taxes -> Tax Classes.
Create classes for the tax combinations you must assign to a product. In most cases, you only need one class.
4. In your zen cart admin go to Locations/Taxes -> Tax Rates.
Link tax classes and zones and enter the tax rate for those combinations.
